Nigeria’s D’Tigress have advanced to the semi-finals of the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket following a commanding 83–47 victory over Cameroon on Thursday night in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The reigning African champions once again demonstrated their dominance with a relentless performance that solidified their status as title favourites.

Amy Okonkwo led the charge with 18 points, six rebounds, and one assist. Point guard Ezinne Kalu controlled the tempo brilliantly, contributing five assists to the team’s fluid offensive display.

With this emphatic win, Nigeria move on to face familiar foes Senegal—11-time champions—who narrowly defeated hosts Ivory Coast earlier in the day.
