Rtd DCGIS Muhammad Aminu Described Former SGF Yayale As Humble And Compassionate Leader

A  Retired Deputy Controller General of immigration Service (DCGIS) , Alhaji Muhammad Aminu, has described Yayale Ahmed. Former Permanent Secretary General to the Government of the Federation (SGF), head of service and Minister of Defence as a humble, compassionate leader whose heart is filled with deep love for humanity.

Alhaji Muhammad Aminu stated this in a response ro post by Salihu Dantata Mahmud, describing Yayale Ahmed remarkable character and leadership style has inspired countless individuals and as one of the many beneficiaries of his mentorship, he can attest that staying with Alhaji Yayale is a masterclass in leadership by example.

His approach to leadership embodies simplicity, humility, making him a beloved figure as his compassion know no bounds, and his willingness to treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of tribe or religion, is a valuable lesson that many of us have learned from being around him.

Alhaji Yayale’s early days as Secretary of the Board of Customs, Immigration, and Prisons Service Board showcase his remarkable kindness and generosity. When Abuja was still developing, and accommodations were scarce, he and late Alhaji Maina Bukar converted their car garages and boys’ quarters into shelters for stranded applicants. Providing food, financial support, and transport money became a daily routine in their homes, demonstrating their commitment to serving others.

Though I didn’t work directly under him, his mentorship has had a profound impact on public governance, and his dedication to helping others advance in their careers has opened doors of success for many people. Alhaji Yayale’s legacy of kindness, selflessness, and service to humanity will forever be remembered and cherished.
