Dr. Bernard Doro Assumes Office as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction

The newly appointed Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard Doro, has  officially assumed office in Abuja on 11th November 2025, pledging to work closely with the ministry’s staff to uplift Nigerians living below the poverty line.

In his remarks, Dr. Doro reaffirmed his commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing the ministry’s focus on initiatives that promote social mobility, empowerment, and sustainable poverty reduction.

Joining other officials to welcome the Minister, the Director-General of the National Senior Citizens Centre (NSCC), Hon. Omobolanle Akinyemi-Obe, expressed confidence that Dr. Doro’s leadership would further strengthen humanitarian and poverty alleviation efforts across the country particularly for vulnerable groups and older persons.
