West Africa Theological Seminary, TO Hold 34th And 35th Convocation Ceremony In Lagos..

The West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS), Ipaja, Lagos,  has announced its 34th and 35th Combined Convocation Ceremony, scheduled to hold on 29 November 2025 at the seminary campus.

The historic event, which will begin by

10:00 am, will bring together distinguished guests, families, friends, and stakeholders to celebrate the academic achievements of its graduands.

According  to Isaac Daramola Communication Desk  West Africa Theological Seminary, he said this year’s convocation will feature the award of Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Arts (MA), and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degrees across various departments and disciplines within the seminary. The ceremony represents WATS’ continued commitment to raising spiritually sound, academically grounded, and mission-driven Christian leaders equipped to serve the Church and society.

A major highlight of the occasion will be the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degrees and Special Recognition Awards on selected leaders, ministers, and personalities who have demonstrated exceptional service to the work of God and humanity. These awards reflect the seminary’s tradition of acknowledging excellence and inspiring future leaders.

The Convocation Lecture will be delivered by Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo Asaju, Chairman of the WATS Board of Trustees and renowned scholar of Christian theology. His lecture is expected to provide deep insight into contemporary issues facing the Church and theological education.

Founder Prof. Gary Maxey, Provost, Dr. Olufemi Emmanuel, and the entire management team will be on hand to receive all guests and participants.
