HON ODIELI UHCENNA DECLARATION SPEECH FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

OYI/AYAMELUM FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

My beloved people of Oyi and Ayamelum,

My fathers, mothers, youths, and dear brothers and sisters,

Today, I stand before you with a heart full of gratitude, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility. I stand not just as an individual, but as your son, your brother, and a proud product of this great land that has given me everything I am today.

I was born and raised here. I was nurtured by your love, your values, and your sacrifices. Every step I have taken in life has been shaped by the struggles and dreams of our people. I have seen our strengths, but I have also felt our pains.

I have seen our young people full of talent but without opportunities.

I have seen our roads cry for attention.

I have seen our farmers struggle despite their hard work.

I have seen families carry burdens that should have been lifted by effective representation.

These realities do not just concern me rather they touch my soul.

My people, leadership is not about titles. Leadership is about service, sacrifice, and standing up when it matters most. Over the years, I have committed myself to serving our people in every way I can, supporting education, empowering youths, and contributing to community development. But I have come to realize that we can do much more.

That is why, after deep reflection, wide consultations, and prayers, I humbly answer the call of our people.

Today, I officially declare my intention to contest for the House of Representatives to represent Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency.

This decision is not driven by personal ambition, but by a burning desire to bring purposeful, effective, and people-centered representation to our constituency.

I envision a constituency where:

Our youths are empowered with real opportunities, not empty promises.

Our roads and infrastructure reflect the dignity of our people.

Our farmers receive the support they deserve to feed our nation.

Our women uplifted and given a stronger voice.

Our children can dream again and believe in a better future.

My mission is simple: to be your voice, to fight for your interests, and to deliver results that will uplift every community in Oyi and Ayamelum.

My dear people, I cannot do all this alone.

This journey is not just about me but it is about us.

It is about our collective future and rewriting the story of our constituency.

I ask for your support, your prayers, and your belief. Together, we can build a future that our children will be proud of.

Let history remember this moment not just as a declaration, but as the beginning of a movement for progress, unity, and transformation.
