NEW YEAR MESSAGE ABBAH ISAH URGE STAKEHOLDERS TO BE STEADFAST AND PROACTIVE.

As we step into the New Year, I extend warm greetings and heartfelt best wishes to the entire disability community across Nigeria. I also specially acknowledge and appreciate Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), development partners, donors, advocates, caregivers, and all stakeholders who have stood firmly in support of disability inclusion throughout the outgoing year.

The year gone by was one marked by collaboration, resilience, and renewed commitment to advancing equal opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Your unwavering support, partnership, and constructive engagement have continued to strengthen our collective resolve to build a more inclusive and equitable Nigeria. On behalf of Mr. President, I sincerely thank you for your dedication and shared vision.

I am pleased to extol the notable achievements of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in advancing inclusive development during the outgoing year. Under his leadership, disability inclusion has remained a key component of national development efforts, with deliberate steps taken to promote accessibility, social protection, economic empowerment, and the mainstreaming of disability perspectives in policies, programmes, and governance processes in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda. These efforts reaffirm the President’s commitment to leaving no one behind.

As we look forward to the New Year, there is renewed hope and optimism for a brighter future. The coming year promises stronger partnerships, expanded opportunities, and more impactful interventions aimed at improving the quality of life of Persons with Disabilities.

The Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to deepening inclusion, strengthening institutions, and creating an enabling environment where every Nigerian, regardless of ability, can thrive and contribute meaningfully to national development.

My office is widely open and ready for partnership and collaborations with relevant stakeholders and development partners to drive the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President as regards disability inclusion and accessibility for Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria.

I urge all stakeholders to remain steadfast, united, and proactive as we journey together into this New Year. With sustained collaboration and shared responsibility, we will continue to build a Nigeria that truly reflects dignity, equity, and equal opportunities for all.
