Abdulahi Olowa Deploys Multi-Agency Security Personnels To Public Schools In Ibeju-Lekki Moves To Protect All Students.
As the 2025 Academic Year is winding down, the Executive chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos state, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has ordered the immediate deployment of multi-agency security personnel to all public schools within the council to strengthen security and protect lives of both pupils and Teachers in the remaing days to end the academic session for 2025.
The chairman said, initiative, the step was designed to prioritize the protection of lives and property, with particular focus on safeguarding pupils and teachers to strengthen school safety.
Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa daid the security teams was drawn from the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), the Ibeju-Lekki Community Corps (Folumo), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will be stationed at school premises, entry points, and surrounding locations. The presence of these agencies is expected to deter criminal activities, boost surveillance capacity, and respond swiftly to any threats.
Hon. Olowa called on school principals, parents, and residents to cooperate with the deployed personnel by reporting suspicious movements or incidents. Hon Olowa emphasized that the measures reflects his administration’s unwavering commitment to creating a safe learning environment for children and building a secure future for the community.
